FBLA Travels to Hunter for State Prep Competition

19 of our Future Business Leaders of America members from West traveled after school today, Monday Sep 30th, to compete in their first Prep of the season.

West’s FBLA Chapter’s Leaders

          Fall Leadership Conference for FBLA Chapters throughout Utah met today at the Utah Valley Convention Center to learn the neccessary skills to be an effective leader and business person. With over 35 sessions to choose from, these future leaders are ready!

FBLA/DECA Business Club Meeting Rescheduled

Due to the cancelation of Wednesday’s meeting, the Business Clubs, aka FBLA and DECA, will reschedule their meeting for Monday, September 16th at 2:45 in T115.

West’s FBLA Team Grant Provides New Student Tables

One of our FBLA teams received an AdCap Grant to provide stand-up tables for healthier lunches. Assembled just in time for school to start, they are located on the first floor of the Tech Wing. Thanks to Mrs Raymond and Mr Morris for assembling them and Riya Soneji and Ronak Arwal receiving the grant.

FBLA AdCap Adventures Innovations Challenge Winners Get New “Chairs” For West

FBLA Seniors Hunter Jensen and Mark Guerra Garcia won $1000 grant back at the beginning of school in the AdVenture Capital Innovation Challenge.  Their proposal for a more-healthy environment at West was to use their grant money to purchase ball-chairs for teacher Chris McGill’s Language Arts room instead of using conventional chairs.   Stop by room 333
